My story

I'm Joanna Chrysocheris, interior decorator, content creator, and founder of Aimable désordre.

My roots in the French Riviera—long known for its strong artistic heritage—instilled in me an early appreciation for expressive design, bold choices, and the emotional potential of space. Design runs deep in my family, with architects and designers on both sides, which naturally informed my creative lens.

With formal training in graphic design, I spent almost two decades as an Art Director, honing a strong eye for visual storytelling, composition, and intentional design. My journey into interiors began in 2005, when I took on my very first interior decorating project at my father’s architecture firm to finance the last year of my studies. It was here that I discovered how foundational graphic design principles—from understanding balance and contrast to mastering proportion, hierarchy, and color theory—proved incredibly transferable to interior design. Over time, I shared personal renovations that drew in an audience and naturally led to client work.

That hands-on path has given me a deep understanding of how people actually live in their homes, and how intentional design choices can support that. Today, I combine that visual instinct and experience with a practical, approachable service: online consultations that empower you to create a home that feels personal, functional, and full of character.

Whether you're stuck on a paint color choice or dreaming of making your Pinterest board reality, I’m here to help you cut through the noise, make confident choices, and reconnect with your space.
